Robert Wagner, Gary Mule Deer, Tom Dreesen, Dick Van Dyke, The Gatlin Brothers, Elke Sommer, Peter Marshall, Jerry Vale, Joey English, and Dena Martin are just some of the additional celebrities at the Sinatra. Know as "Frank's Little Party in the Desert", golf tournament benefits the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, which provides counseling for victims of physical, sexual, and emotional child abuse. No child is turned away regardless of the ability to pay of the family. Crystal Gale performed with the Desert Symphony at the McCallum Theatre Thursday evening. She wowed the packed house with some of her hit songs including "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" which garnered her a Grammy Award as the best female country vocal performance in 1978.
The Desert Symphony at the McCallum had people dancing in the isles to the music of the 50's rock era.
The Desert Symphony Holiday Spectacular was spectacular at the McCallum Theatre this evening, under the direction of Conductor, Thomas E. Hartley. A highlight of the evening was the dramatic reading of T'was the Night Before Christmas by actress Ruta Lee. Nine year old Umi Garrett stole the show at the McCallum and was presented with a check from the Desert Symphony to help in your continuing musical education. REMEMBERING BARBARA SINATRA By Tom and Melinda Read In July 2017 we lost Mrs. Frank Sinatra who passed away quietly in her Rancho Mirage home. Barbara was totally dedicated to providing help and assistance to abused children. She and her late husband, entertainer Frank Sinatra, founded the Barbara Sinatra Chrildren's Center at Eisenhower Medical Center. Melinda and I will share some pictures and personal memories of this delightful lady, Barbara Sinatra. So keep checking back as this tribute to Barbara continues.

Symphony Holiday Spectacular Desert Symphony Conductor, Thomas E. Hartley, nine year old guest pianist Umi Garrett and Symphony founder, Marilyn Benachowski. ACTS For MS Christmas Trees donated by celebrities were auctioned this evening to raise money for Gloria Greer's ACTS For MS. Melinda Read, popular celebrity TV hostess, next to the Christmas Tree named for her Italian dog, Francuzzo. Recording artist Frankie Randall, (R) with William Asher who directed the popular television series Bewitched. Frankie Randall recorded the title song from the show. Jerry Vale also donated a Christmas Tree and attended the event with his wife, Rita. Actress Ruta Lee pictured by the tree she donated with her tree's designer.
